The showhome at Bellway’s Highwoods View development in Bexhill-on-Sea has won an award for the quality of its interior design at the United Kingdom Property Awards.

The four-bedroom Pargeter showhome, which was designed by Clayton and Company, was named a winner in the Residential Interior (Showhome) category for Sussex at a gala event held on Friday 23 October at The Royal Lancaster Hotel London.
Bellway is building 89 new homes at the development, off Turkey Road, alongside green spaces, woodland, footpaths and a children’s play area.
Natalie Haigh, Head of Sales for Bellway Southern Counties, said: “We are so pleased that our stunning showhome at Highwoods View has been recognised at the United Kingdom Property Awards.
“We wanted a showhome which reflects the coastal character of Bexhill-on-Sea, the development’s woodland surroundings and the needs of a growing family, and the Pargeter achieves that and more.
“Visitors to the showhome have been particularly impressed by the way the design puts family at its heart, giving everyone their own space, while also creating spaces which bring them all together.
“Huge thanks to Clayton and Company for fulfilling the brief so beautifully. Their inspirational design really makes this showhome feel like home.”
Bellway is building 58 two, three and four-bedroom homes for private sale at Highwoods View, alongside 27 affordable homes for local people, available through affordable rent, shared ownership or the First Homes discount scheme. There are also four self-build plots.
Bellway’s energy-efficient homes include solar PV panels, smart thermostats and electric vehicle charging points.
The Pargeter showhome opened at the development in May this year. Construction work is progressing well, with the first residents due to move into their new homes in November.
Work is also due to start in January on the new public open space within the development, which will include a children’s play area.
