Keymer Hall by Boutique Care Homes, Burgess Hill, will host a community talk on Thursday 13th August to help local people spot and avoid scams before they cause harm.

The event, called Scam Busters, brings PCSO Peter Bowyer-Frost to Keymer Hall at 3:00pm to walk attendees through the scams currently circulating in the area, from doorstep cons to phone and online fraud, and the warning signs that often give them away. The talk will be followed by an open Q&A, giving residents, family members and anyone from the wider community the chance to raise questions or concerns directly with a serving officer.
Christine Bunce, Home Manager at Keymer Hall, said the idea grew out of conversations with residents and their families about how convincing scams have become. "People don't always feel comfortable admitting they've been targeted, or that something felt off," she said. "Having Peter here means they get direct, practical advice from someone who deals with this every day, in a setting where they feel able to ask."

The event is free and open to anyone in the local community, not only Keymer Hall residents.
Scam Busters takes place on Thursday 13th August 2026 at 3:00pm at Keymer Hall, 11 Kings Way, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 0TH. Entry is free.
Keymer Hall's approach to care rests on the same principle behind the talk: that comfort, security and genuine connection matter as much as clinical standards. Scam Busters is one more way the home puts that into practice, looking out for its residents and its neighbours alike.
