Churchill Living has officially received planning approval for its new retirement living development in Seaford and is inviting locals to help shape its identity by taking part in a competition to name the new Lodge.

The competition gives members of the community the opportunity to suggest a name that reflects Seaford’s unique character, heritage and local history. The winning entrant will receive £100 and have the honour of seeing their chosen name become part of the development’s legacy.
Seaford residents are encouraged to submit their suggested name, along with a brief explanation of its significance, by 31st September. Entries should be sent to [email protected].

Charlie Gray, Divisional Marketing Lead for Churchill Living South East, said: “We’re incredibly excited to have the opportunity to bring our community-focused, independent living to Seaford. And this is what it’s all about, community. We would love the people of Seaford and the surrounding area to have an input on naming the new development.
“There’s no better group of people to name a new development than the people who live in, and love, the town already. We’re hoping to find a name to aptly reflect the history, character and uniqueness of Seaford – and we’re looking forward to seeing all the wonderful suggestions!”
Located on Crouch Lane, the Lodge will offer independent living in a safe and secure environment, with access to welcoming communal facilities and opportunities to socialise with neighbours, and perspective residents will have a choice of one-and two-bedroom apartments designed specifically for the over-60s.
Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, each self-contained apartment will feature modern kitchens with integrated appliances, spacious living areas and high-quality finishes throughout. Residents will benefit from the privacy and independence of their own home, while enjoying the reassurance that comes with living in a Churchill Living purpose-built retirement community.

Known for its outstanding natural beauty, Seaford is framed by magnificent chalk cliffs, including the world-famous Seven Sisters. These impressive coastal landmarks provide stunning views over the English Channel, while attractions such as the historic Martello Tower contribute to the town’s relaxed and welcoming coastal character – all great inspiration for a winning development name.
