An innovation centre based in the Manor Royal Business District is calling on Crawley College art students to create an original piece of art that will transform one of their meeting rooms into an inspiring, creative space.

This is the first time Crawley Innovation Centre has run such a competition and is an exciting opportunity for art students currently enrolled on UAL Level 1, 2 or 3 Art & Design Diplomas to potentially have their work displayed within a professional business environment. The winning artist will have their design showcased to hundreds of entrepreneurs, businesses and visitors for at least 12 months.
Students are invited to create an original piece of artwork that inspires creativity, collaboration and fresh thinking in a business meeting room and also creates a welcoming atmosphere for businesses and visitors.
There are no restrictions on artistic style or art materials used but students are encouraged to develop a concept that links to the local area where Crawley Innovation Centre is located and showcases entrepreneurship, innovation and community, which the centre stands for.
Crawley Innovation Centre helps businesses at start-up stage, scale-ups or long-established innovative companies thrive and grow by providing a flexible and community environment through its modern offices and workshop spaces and provision of one-to-one business mentoring support.

More than just a workspace, the centre provides a unique package of business support via one-to-one expert mentoring from the centre’s Innovation Director. At no additional cost to businesses, tailored specialist innovation strategy support can range from how to attract investors to business growth strategies and marketing.
Situated five minutes from London Gatwick, Crawley Innovation Centre is accessible to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With free parking and electric vehicle charging points, it features 24 high-quality offices, seven light industrial workshops for prototyping, product testing and demonstrations, as well as coworking and hot desking spaces, meeting rooms and event hire space.
Shelley Furey, Centre Manager, comments: "We are so pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to the very talented art students enrolled at Crawley College and can’t wait to see the designs we receive.”
Deadline for entries is Friday 22 January 2027 with the winning artist announced in February 2027. The winner will receive a £100 Amazon voucher and have their name and biography displayed alongside their artwork for at least 12 months.
