Felpham Community College has been awarded a National School Attendance Award, for being recognised as one of the Top 25% Most Improved Secondary Schools in England for attendance during the 2025/26 academic year.

This achievement reflects the collective efforts of students, parents and carers and staff, whose commitment to regular attendance has helped create a positive culture where students are able to maximise their learning and opportunities.
Mr Summers, Assistant Headteacher commented: “Thank you to everyone who has supported our attendance journey. Over the last few years, we have introduced a number of initiatives for attendance. These include:
Students who achieve 100% attendance for a fortnightly period, get to choose a reward (a canteen skip the queue pass or positive points - our rewards system at FCC)
Form groups with the best attendance as a form, receive a Tutor Group Trophy every fortnight
Students who have managed to achieve 100% attendance for the term are invited to an end of term rewards event (a free ice cream and hot chocolate!)
Form Tutors have also been monitoring attendance and checking in with students and their families throughout the academic year.
We would like to thank students, and their families, for helping us improve standards and raise expectations. We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure every student has the best possible opportunity to succeed.”
