Over 40 students volunteered to take part in the 30 minute sessions, which were a great opportunity for students to try something new through a creative, hands-on activity.

Mr Harrington, Curriculum Leader for Music commented: “DJing helps students build confidence, develop musical skills, express themselves and feel proud of what they can achieve!

“We hope our students enjoyed remixing popular songs and that some will choose to carry on developing the skills they learnt today.

“DJing is an exciting instrumental technique that has relatively recently been accepted as a performance pathway for music GCSE. Well done to everyone who gave it a go, the enthusiasm across the year groups was brilliant."
