The weather week was mostly fair and dry apart from Monday and Tuesday, which between them contributed 19.9mm of rain, 33% of September’s average rainfall.
Temperatures averaged 20.8C, above September’s average of 19.0C but with over half the month left no trend can be surmised as yet; the highest daily temperature of 22.3C was recorded on Friday 11th.
Sunshine averaged 5.7 hours, in line with the averages; 10.6 hours were recorded on Saturday 5th.
Winds again were generally very slight with four dead calm days recorded at 09:00 GMT.
Sea temperatures are slowly declining, from 19.8 at the beginning of the week to 19.0 at the end.
