Countryfile and Woman’s Hour presenter Anita Rani set to visit Saltdean Lido for talk and Q&A

Countryfile and Woman’s Hour presenter Anita Rani is set to headline a free ‘Audience With’ event in Saltdean.

She will be at the Reading Room at Saltdean Lido on Saltdean Park Road from 11am to 12pm on Tuesday, November 10.

The event is part of The Opportunity Hub and the whole day runs from 10am to 4pm.

This is a free pop-up event from Vodafone, which aims to create a space where people can find out about starting a hobby or small business, while exploring ideas, accessing practical tools and getting advice.

A spokesperson said: “During the morning, The Opportunity Hub will feature a talk from TV and radio presenter Anita Rani, who will share her journey from hosting her first radio show in Bradford at just 14 to presenting Countryfile and Woman’s Hour, and more recently launching her own production company and creating her podcast, Sisters of Defiance. Drawing on her experiences of taking risks, challenging expectations and creating new opportunities, Anita will share her advice on turning a lightbulb moment into your next big move, followed by a live Q&A with the audience.

“In the afternoon, Enterprise Nation will host ‘From passion to paying customer’ – a practical workshop exploring how people can turn an experience, skill or passion into something that others are willing to pay for, with a particular focus on how to find and attract their first customers.”

Guests can also get digital advice from VodafoneThree’s Discovery Team, as well as a free professional headshot for LinkedIn and social media. They can also register for a free seven-day Vodafone network trial.

Advance booking is recommended via www.eventbrite.com. There are limited walk-ins available.
