Onwards and upwards at Arun District Indoor Bowling Club

Two days of fantastic competitive bowling watched by a good turnout of our members supporting those who got to the finals. Dan Cripp successfully retained his title as men’s club singles champion and Chris Bruce won the ladies singles. Well done to both. Tony Sayers gives a hug to our lovely ladies competition secretary Judith Pemble who did Stirling work organising the competitions this winter. Men’s fours winners Colin, Kevin, Terry and Barry, well done to them. Ladies novice singles saw a super game between Diana and Diane with Diane taking the title. A brilliant result for Diana getting to the final considering she has only been bowling for nine months, well done.

It was a great weekend congratulations to all those winners who will be attending the club’s presentation evening on the evening of Friday 24th April at 7pm.

The following Monday 27th April sees the start of the summer season at Arun, many of our bowlers will be moving outdoors to the various clubs they play at.

On Tuesday 28th April our partially sighted bowlers group known as ‘Beavers’ are holding their own bowls marathon at the club, hopefully this marathon will be supported by as many members as possible.

We are all looking forward to a busy summer season at Arun Indoor playing away teams and internal competitions and mixed friendly matches between our members.

For Bognor Regis Observer if possible please.
