Stone cross care home gets baking for staff appreciation

Residents at Sycamore Grove in Stone Cross are thoroughly enjoying their baking club.

 This week they decided to bake butterfly cakes to show their appreciation for the staff. So many of the residents wanted to be involved that we held two baking sessions which was very much enjoyed by the staff. We have some really keen bakers here so we like to get in the kitchen regularly and make a variety of different treats. One of the residents commented “this week’s treats would taste so much better as they we made with love.”

 Emma Basham, Deputy General Manager at the home, said: “The residents thoroughly enjoy getting involved with baking. They especially enjoyed treating the staff."
