Taking place at Hailsham Parish Church on Saturday 12 December at 4pm, the concert promises a seasonal programme combining traditional Christmas favourites with more contemporary musical selections. The performance will be conducted by Barbara Edwards, accompanied by William Hancox, and forms part of the town's much-anticipated festive programme.

A retiring collection will be held during the event in aid of St Wilfrid's Hospice, giving concertgoers the opportunity to support the charity while enjoying an afternoon of music.

Cllr Bryant said: "The annual Christmas concert is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and enjoy the festive season through music. Hailsham Choral Society has an important place in our town’s cultural life, and I am delighted to be attending this year’s performance."

"With a varied programme and the choir’s considerable musical talent, I am sure the concert will provide an enjoyable and uplifting occasion for everyone attending. I would encourage residents to make a note of the date and join us for what promises to be a special festive event."

Cllr Anne Marie Ricketts, Chair of the Town Council's Communities Committee, added: "Hailsham Choral Society is a valued part of our local cultural community, bringing people together through a shared love of music and providing opportunities for residents to enjoy high-quality musical performances throughout the year."

"The Society's diverse repertoire, ranging from classical compositions to popular music and musical theatre, demonstrates the breadth of its talent and its commitment to making music accessible and enjoyable to a wide audience. Its regular concerts and collaborations with professional musicians make an important contribution to the cultural life of Hailsham and the surrounding area."

"I would encourage anyone who has not yet experienced one of the Society’s performances to consider attending the Christmas concert and supporting the wonderful work of this long-established local organisation."
