Q Hair and Beauty has been named Large Independent Business of the Year, recognising its extensive offering across hairdressing and beauty.

Organised and presented by the Chichester Observer and Midhurst & Petworth Observer, the Chichester and District Business Awards 2026 took place on Monday (November 2) at Chichester Festival Theatre. They celebrated and commended the wide range of fantastic businesses across Chichester and its neighbouring areas, with 11 awards to be won.

Its Chichester salon occupies five floors of a Georgian townhouse in North Street, providing an impressive range of services from cutting, colouring and hair treatments, to beauty treatments, massage, men’s grooming and waxing.

With additional salons in Midhurst and Donnington, the business has established a presence across the area.

Sustainability is also on its agenda, with an ongoing commitment to becoming carbon neutral and taking steps to make operations greener.

Kain Lawrence, business development director at Q Hair and Beauty, said: “We enter a lot of national award ceremonies, but being local – it means the world. To actually be able to give back to our community, it’s amazing.”
