PLUMPTON COLLEGE

National Apprenticeship Week is always a special moment at Plumpton College. Recently, we spent time with our Level 2 Bakery National Trust apprentices, and it reminded us exactly why this week matters. The bakery was full of focus and creativity as students planned, mixed, problem-solved and brought their celebration cakes to life. Seeing their ideas grow into finished pieces and the pride on their faces as they presented them captured the true value of apprenticeships. They offer real experience, real confidence and real opportunities to grow. We are incredibly proud to champion our apprentices and the dedication they bring to their craft every day. If you would like to explore how an apprenticeship could benefit you or your business, our Business Services Team is here to help: [email protected] This week and every week, we celebrate the incredible talent of our apprentices

UCKFIELD HIGH STREET UPDATE

The pinning of the corner in January (at the former Maidens Head Hotel pub in Uckfield) was successful and enabled a significant part of the internal scaffolding to be removed. An extra length of scaffolding (outside part of the Soirée Lounge Bar) was also removed over a week ago. To keep up to date with this project, please head to https://orlo.uk/SACZm

HARE AND HOUNDS FRAMFIELD

Unfortunately, we’re still closed following the fire, but please beassured we’re working as hard as possible behind the scenes to get everything sorted and reopen safely. There’s a lot going on with cleaning, checks and insurance, and we’re doing everything we can to move things forward as quickly as possible. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, especially to those of you who had tables booked with us. We know how disappointing it is to have plans cancelled, and we truly apologise for that. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in, get the doors open again and see the pub full of friendly faces. Thank you all so much for your continued patience and support — it genuinely means a lot to us.
