One person was taken to hospital following a collision outside Horsham.

Emergency services were called to Five Oaks Road, near Slinfold, on Tuesday afternoon (October 20).

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed it was called to reports of a road traffic collision, shortly after 2.40pm.

A spokesperson added: “An ambulance crew attended, and one patient was assessed and treated at the scene for injuries, before being taken to East Surrey Hospital for further treatment.”

The nature and severity of the patient’s injuries have not been disclosed.

Sussex Traffic Watch reported, at 5.20pm on Tuesday, that the A264 Five Oaks Road remained closed in both directions for collision investigation work.

The road has since reopened.
