Call for volunteers: Spring clean planned for Worthing town centre

Residents are being urged to come together and help give Worthing town centre a fresh start this spring.

On Tuesday, April 14, Worthing Town Centre BID will be hosting a Town Spring Clean – inviting businesses, residents, and volunteers to ‘spare a couple of hours’, to help tidy up the town and ‘make it look its best ahead of the busy summer season’.

With the warmer months approaching, the BID is keen to ensure Worthing town centre is ‘clean, welcoming, and ready to be enjoyed by everyone’.

"However, this can only be achieved with the support of the local community,” a spokesperson for Worthing BID said.

Volunteers will meet at the Pavilion at 10.30am, where equipment and guidance will be provided. The clean up will run until 12.30pm and is ‘open to anyone who would like to get involved and make a positive difference’.

The BID spokesperson added: “We are really proud of our town and want it to look its absolute best as we head into summer. This is a great opportunity for people to come together, meet others, and take pride in their local area.

"Even giving just a couple of hours can make a real difference.”
