This Sunday (February 19) is Parish Eucharist at 10.30am

On Ash Wednesday (February 22) Lent begins with Holy Communion at 10am.

Throughout Lent, starting on March 2 every Friday from 12.30 -2pm there are Lent lunches in the Memorial Hall. People will be able to enjoy home made soup, bread and a range of cheeses with friends and neighbours and proceeds wll go to a different charity each week chosen by whoever puts the meal together. It’s a great way to spend Friday lunchtime.

Sunday April 8 is Easter and the Parish Church celebrates with Easter Lilies.

You can give a lily in memory of a loved one and in the church there will be a List of Dedications.

If you would like to dedicate a lily see Janet Thompson at the Church Market on Saturday March 17 or ring her on 01797 222891.

On Sunday (February 19) there is live music at the Queen’s Head from 4pm - 6pm when Wakin’ Snakes do Cajun Ragtime.

We must be doing something right! - Rye Observer sales at Icklesham Stores have doubled in a month.

On Saturday February 25 there is Quiz Night in aid of Cricket Club funds at the Memorial Hall. Will last month’s maiden winners the Stoolball Club aka One Out - All Out triumph again? The jury is out.

A Spring Craft Fair takes place at the Memorial Hall on Saturday March 3 from 10am - 2.30pm.

Icklesham Players Panto Cinders had a great first night . There are a few tickets for tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall at 7.30.

Tickets are £6 adults and £4 children.You can phone Derrick Baker 01424 814246 or there might be some available on the door.

There is a licensed bar and tea, coffee and ice cream will be available. Tomorrow (Saturday) there is a family matinee at 2.30pm.
