Surely there must be someone closer to stick a needle in our arms?

Thought you might find this of interest.

My wife and I, both over eighty, have been digesting the news of the Covid vaccination distribution over the past few weeks with interest.

We note the growing numbers and percentages of the over-eighties being jabbed around the country and await, with bated breath, our own letters inviting us along.

At last, this morning, (Monday January 25), the expected letter arrives.

We are invited to apply.

I telephone the number given and am put in touch.

I am advised that my wife and I can both be accommodated on the same day, about the same time at the village hall in, wait for it, Ticehurst!

Where the hell is Ticehurst, I ask not too politely.

About fourteen and a half miles away from Lower Dicker (where we reside), I discover.

Is this really the best Sussex Healthcare can offer?

Surely there must be someone, somewhere closer who can stick a needle in our arms?

No-one in Eastbourne, Hailsham or other surrounding neighbourhoods? We have made arrangements to travel to Ticehurst but I really do wonder?
