Eastbourne’s Ben Clark, 16, was one of 10 nationally who received RYA Musto Youth Awards at the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show. Ben was nominated by Buzz Active, where he volunteers on windsurfing and school taster sessions, Ben said, "I really love being an assistant instructor and watching junior sailors grow in confidence is extremely rewarding." Pictured here are members of Plastic Free Eastbourne, who are celebrating after winning a grant of £1,000 for helping to install water refill stations throughout the town. The group now hopes to install a refill station in Shinewater Park. SUS-220429-133037001

The nursery and reception children at Shinewater School participated in a sponsored read in conjunction with Usborne Books. They raised a grand total of nearly £400 and were able to purchase beautiful new books for their non-fiction library. Firefly Tattoo Co in Hailsham teamed up with Holy Cow Tattoo in Eastbourne and did sunflower tattoos all day on Sunday April 3 to raise funds for the Ukraine appeal through UNICEF. The endeavour raised £2,000. SUS-220429-133103001
