A spokesperson said: “More than 100 people learned CPR with our Eastbourne Community First Responders at The Beacon in Eastbourne last Friday as part of Restart a Heart Day.

“From hands-on CPR training to a surprise four-legged participant keen to try some chest compressions, it was a fantastic day raising awareness of the vital role bystander CPR can play in saving lives and giving more people the confidence to act in an emergency.

“Thank you to everyone who stopped by and took part. Every person trained is another potential lifesaver in our community.”
