East Sussex Fire and Rescue issues safety warning for upcoming Storm Austen

A spokesperson said: “The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds for parts of East Sussex this Friday 23 October. “A few minutes of preparation can make a big difference: “Secure loose outdoor items such as bins, garden furniture, trampolines, tents, sheds, and fences. “If you need to travel, check for disruption before you leave and allow extra time for your journey. “Near the coast? Stay well back from cliff edges and large waves, and never take risks for a better view or photograph. “Weather conditions can change quickly, so keep an eye on the latest forecasts and warnings. “Be prepared and know who to call should you need to.”
