AS Crawley held but stay clear at the summit

AS Crawley were forced to settle for a point but extended their lead at the top of the SSFL Premier Division after a bruising goalless draw with Tally Ho.
AS Crawley 0–0 Tally Ho
The match exploded into life inside the opening minutes, with two Tally Ho players somehow avoiding red cards for reckless early challenges. The visitors made their intentions clear from the outset, adopting a physical, confrontational style reminiscent of Wimbledon’s infamous Crazy Gang.
Despite the disruption, Tariq Vincent was outstanding in midfield for AS Crawley, repeatedly breaking up play and driving his side forward. He even tested the goalkeeper with a pair of ambitious long‑range efforts.

Tally Ho carved out chances of their own, but neither Cox nor Johnson could apply the finishing touch. At the other end, prolific striker Darren Helsdown—so often the difference‑maker this season—found himself well marshalled and unable to add to his impressive tally.
After the frenetic opening exchanges, the contest gradually lost some of its early intensity, with both sides cancelling each other out in a scrappy second half.
The draw keeps Tally Ho firmly in mid‑table, while AS Crawley move four points clear at the top as the title race begins to tighten.
