Ex-Brighton and Cardiff City defender offers to play for FREE as he looks to relaunch his career


The 35-year-old has been without a club since leaving Aberdeen in the summer of 2019 and, despite having spent pre-season with an unnamed side, remains a free agent.
Halford enjoyed a 19 game loan spell with Brighton during the 2014/15 season, before moving on to Rotherham United, Birmingham City, Cardiff City and finally Aberdeen.

Hide AdThe former Reading man has bags of experience, including 500 professional games in a range of different positions and finished as runners up in the Championship with Cardiff two-and-a-half years ago.
And he has now taken to Linkedin to offer his services to clubs and insists he is willing to play without pay until January in a bid to return to the game.
Halford has gone on to rack-up over 500 career appearances for clubs such as Portsmouth, Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest.
Now, he’s hoping to build on that tally by joining a new club – even if it means playing for free in the short-term.

Hide AdHalford posted on his Linkedin page: “If there any clubs out there looking for an experienced and motivated player with over 500 league appearances I’m willing to play for free up to January.
"I've had a pre-season with a club and trained every day since and still training now so I'm fit and ready to go into a team.
"My hunger is as strong as ever and willing to do anything to get my career up and running again.”
