It’s been a quiet transfer window so far for Crawley Town so far, but it looks like things are going to get busy as we enter the last few hours of the January transfer window.

So far the Reds have signed keeper Roshan Greensall and midfielder Ben Gladwin. And now therealefl.co.uk are reporting they are battling it out for the signature of Chatham Town right back Ike Orji.

Ryan Whelan wrote: “Chatham Town starlet Ike Orji has attracted interest from across the EFL and Premier League over recent months. The 19-year-old has been likened to the next Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a tricky winger that has been converted into a full-back. The player is currently playing on a non-contract basis which means he can move for free in the January transfer window should either club continue their interest.” You can read the article here.

Orji, who worked with Scott Lindsey at Chatham, has been an ever present for Kent side in the Isthmian South East Division and was on trial at the Gills in 2021.

The Crawley Observer also understands the Reds are in talks with another full back, which could be Elis Landolo, who Lindsey is understood to have wanted to bring with him from Swindon, a goalkeeper and a midfielder, but nothing is concrete yet.

We have already heard Owen Gallagher left club but any announcements about George Francomb, Jake Hessenthaler and Tony Craig leaving the club is yet to happen.
