When 60-year-old web designer and internet marketer Steve Hippel sat down to write his first serious song, he didn’t expect to end up in rap.

“I’ve always had strong feelings about the financial system,” says Hippel. “I think it’s broken and is really starting to impact society. I try to tell my children and grandchildren — don’t borrow, don’t waste your life paying debts," said Steve.

Having no background in song writing, Hippel turned to ChatGPT for help formatting his original lyrics — a collaboration of human intent and AI assistance that gave birth to the track’s structure and flow.

His original lyrics didn’t sit well with the blues style he’d first imagined, and in a moment of creative irony, ChatGPT recommended rap — the very genre that he used to moan about.

“I never expected to be releasing it, let alone as a rap song,” he says, “but it captured my message perfectly — clear, rhythmic, and honest. It’s funny really; the genre that used to get under my skin ended up helping me tell a truth I care deeply about.”

Produced using AI composition tools via Musicful.AI, then arranged, refined, and mastered by Hippel himself, “We Don’t Need More Wolves” delivers a smart, soulful take on the modern world’s obsession with profit over purpose.
