South East Hearing Care Centres has supported patients across East and West Sussex for over 25 years, creating a legacy of independent, local hearing care that House of Hearing now continues. Together, the clinics in Horsham, Chichester, Seaford, Eastbourne and Bexhill have supported thousands of patients across the region.

This rebrand comes at a time when demand for accessible, local hearing care is growing. According to RNID, the UK’s leading hearing loss charity, more than 18 million people in the UK are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus, around one in three people, and almost 80% of those over the age of 70 have hearing loss. Locally, this issue is particularly pronounced as 26% of residents in East Sussex and 23% in West Sussex are aged 65 or over, compared with a 19% average across England.

RNID also estimates that more than 8 million adults in the UK could benefit from hearing aids, yet only around 3 million use them, a gap House of Hearing is committed to closing through convenient, community-based care across its expanded network.

Commenting on the announcement, Karan Buckley, Practice Manager at House of Hearing, said: "This is an incredibly exciting milestone for our business as we welcome South East Hearing Care Centres under the House of Hearing name. Bringing these clinics together allows us to combine the strengths of our teams and offer even more to the patients we serve.

"Our clinics across Horsham, Chichester, Seaford, Eastbourne and Bexhill have built strong relationships with their communities over many years, and that won't change. What will change is the name above our doors and the even greater level of support we can now offer."

As part of the rebrand, patients can also benefit from a new, more affordable earwax removal appointment price of £49, reduced from £75.

Each clinic will continue to be run by the same local teams patients already know and trust, offering the same personalised care now backed by the combined technology, training and resources of the wider House of Hearing network.

“This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter, bringing together the expertise of our clinics across Sussex, while preserving the trusted relationships each practice has built,” adds Peter Sydserff, Clinical Director at House of Hearing. “By coming together under the House of Hearing name, we can share clinical knowledge and skills across our network, helping us to deliver even better care while ensuring it continues to reflect the needs of each local community.”

New House of Hearing signage has been unveiled at clinics across the region, marking the start of a new era of hearing care. Patients with existing appointments are not affected by the rebrand and should continue to attend their appointments as normal. Clinic locations and contact details remain unchanged.
