Mims Davies MP has conducted a large amount of work regarding improvements to railway services, and there have been several developments during 2026 in particular, particularly concerning the Uckfield and East Grinstead railway lines for her constituents.

Mims has met with GTR, Network Rail, local Councillors and constituents regularly discussing their concerns, frustrations, and experiences using the local rail services - as well as regularly receiving correspondence from constituents too.
Mims' campaign has mainly focused on fewer cancellations and delay, more reliability, better peak-time capacity, improved evening services, modernising railway infrastructure, more comfortable trains and better passenger facilities and more.

Mims Davies MP said: "I sponsored a room in Parliament on behalf of GTR so we could host a very important drop-in for MPs to discuss the issues we’re facing in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and our villages regarding our rail services.
"This was a hugely popular event with over 20 MP's joining to share their constituents’ experiences and lobby GTR and Network Rail for improvements to the services our constituents use.
"I spoke with the team raising the Uckfield Line, again, as well as inconsistencies with timetables, frequently cancelled trains, standing up for my constituents who deserve reliable and improved rail services.
"I also raised casework I’ve received with them and shared constituent’s experiences to show just how serious this is and how much it is disrupting our lives here in East Grinstead and Uckfield (EGU).
"Thank you very much to those of you who have signed my petition too to upgrade infrastructure, improve service reliability, increase frequency of services, and support measures to deliver a more resilient and dependable railway for passengers - I shared with the GTR team how we already have over 1,000 signatures! Well Done everyone!
"Please do share with your friends, family, fellow passengers to show how deeply we feel on this subject before I present the petition in Parliament and during my meeting with the Minister for Transport, Lord Hendy:
