A Sussex charity has thanked everyone who has donated to its 2026 Autumn Appeal.

CPRE Sussex has raised almost £2,000 to map local projects fighting inappropriate development across Sussex. But there is still a long way to go to reach its £10,000 target by the end of November.
Mapping development threats
The charity is raising funds to help it understand the scale and nature of development threats facing Sussex. It wants to map local campaigns, identify shared concerns and connect communities facing similar challenges.
The goal is to build stronger relationships with local campaigners and ensure grassroots knowledge feeds directly into CPRE Sussex’s advocacy and policy work. This will strengthen the charity's influence with decision makers and help it continue to fight for a greener future for Sussex.
A huge 'thank you'
Nancy Duckels, CPRE Sussex Campaigns and Communications Manager, said: "We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our autumn appeal. Every gift will help connect communities, strengthen local campaigns and give people across Sussex a stronger collective voice.
"We know that across Sussex, communities are standing up to development that threatens the landscapes, wildlife, villages and farmland they love. But too often, these stories and campaigns remain disconnected. With your support, we can map community campaigns across the county and bring local people's evidence and experience together."
