PREVIEW: The Nutcracker at the Theatre Royal Brighton

Following a triumphant 2011-2012 season, Moscow City Ballet return to Theatre Royal Brighton to perform the timeless classic, The Nutcracker (November 29 to December 1).

Complete with stunning costumes, sumptuous sets and Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece score, this enchanting ballet tells the story of Clara’s magical adventure with her Nutcracker Prince, including a visit to the delicious Land of Sweets and the delightful Sugar Plum Fairy.

Moscow City Ballet are celebrated for their dazzling repertoire of full scale ballet classics, showcasing the fact that Russian ‘big story’ ballet combines artistry, technique, narrative and live music, thus providing a true dancing experience. Audiences can not only marvel at the perfection of its corps de ballet but witness the excellent dexterity and grace of principal ballerinas Alevtina Lapshina and Liliya Oryekhova.
