Bognor's Regis School of Music marks thirty years of music-making
Concert night
The Regis School of Music (RSM) is marking a major milestone this September: thirty years of music-making in Bognor Regis.
To celebrate, the school is hosting a special anniversary concert on Saturday, September 19 at 7.30pm, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Rustem Hayroudinoff.
Co-principal Inna Erskine said: “A cherished friend of RSM whose previous performances have left a lasting impression on local audiences, Hayroudinoff has performed across Europe, the Americas, Japan, China and Russia, appearing with leading orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony and Czech Philharmonic. His acclaimed recordings of Rachmaninoff have earned international recognition, and Gramophone magazine has praised him as a player in the great Russian virtuoso tradition.
“The concert promises to be a fitting celebration of three decades of music, community and artistic excellence at RSM, offering local audiences a rare chance to hear a world-class pianist in an intimate setting.
“In keeping with RSM's longstanding commitment to making music accessible to everyone in the community, tickets are available at a range of prices, including a low-income concession of £10 introduced specifically for this event, alongside standard adult tickets (£20) and tickets for students and under-18s (£1).”
Inna added: “30 years feels like such a terrific achievement for the Regis School of Music. We hope that the RSM’s founder, Sasha, would be proud of the work that has been done this year since his passing – and we have exciting collaborations and partnerships to look forward to in the year ahead.”
