Police officers were called to a road traffic incident on the A22.

A vehicle overturned in the Hailsham area, on Saturday morning (September 5).

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “We attended a minor collision on the A22 at about 8.35am.

"Temporary road closures were in place and two people were taken to hospital as a precaution.

"Police are not appealing for any further information at this time.”

Sussex Traffic Watch reported, at around 10am, that the incident was at the Arlington Road West junction.

The post on X (formerly Twitter) read: “RTC involving an overturned vehicle – road currently part blocked.”

A live traffic map – via www.waze.com – showed that police officers joined the emergency response.

Drivers were advised to expect delays in the area.
